Review Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask

I used to have a very indifferent when it comes to Masks and their benefits. As a huge fan of instant gratification I liked that aspect of using them but when it comes to any significant long-term benefits, my skepticism was very high. Don't get me wrong, as a girly girl I have always enjoyed the pampering aspect of mask treatments but let's be real slapping on some goo on your face for 10 minutes will not make your skin issues disappear. Only a regular, quality skincare regiment will properly deal with whatever you want gone. Masks and treatments are an integral part of those routines and as such you need to make sure you select the proper one.

Skincare and good ingredients is something I feel passionately about so clean, natural brands are always on my radar. Antipodes seems to satisfy almost everything I look for in a good skin care choice. Clean ingredients, proven formula, great brand philosophy, recyclable packaging and excellent customer service.
I've heard tons of great reviews and mentions about the Aura Manuka Honey Mask so I wanted to give it a try and see if I can incorporate it in to my skincare routine.

Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask
The official Antipodes description;
"A traditional remedy of New Zealand Maori people is antibacterial manuka honey, which powerfully draws moisture to your skin to hydrate it intensely. This facial mask delivers an intensely moisturising, cleansing and antioxidising treatment. It is the ultimate solution for spots and blemishes. Fragrances of vanilla pod and mandarin linger to bring peace and balance to your aura."

Honey in general (especially Manuka) has long been known to have soothing and anti-microbial properties, making it ideal for irritated, inflamed and acne-prone skin. Its unique because it hydrates & calms while purifying at the same time.

The Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask is very creamy and thick in texture, making it very easy to spread and create an even layer. Even though the mask does dry and tighten after 15-20 minutes there is no uncomfortable tightness or drying sensation associated with traditional clay masks. It's also a lot easier to remove with a warm wash or muslin cloth than any other clay mud mask. Definitively bonus points!
I try to use this mask about twice a week and I do feel likes its a really good compliment to the rest of my routine. My skin is always left soft, plumped, hydrated and radiant. Any breakouts or redness appear "less angry" and feel less likely to ruin my day. I would like to even say that the healing process seems shorter too but I don't know if I can vouch for that completely. I will however update this post if I feel more certain at a later date.

I was worried about a strong scent however I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved it - Antipodes really needs to consider bottling this.

Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask
My conclusion is definitively very positive. I love that the Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey performs similarly to the standard clay masks but without the over drying risk. In fact the Triple Threat facial is cut down in both products and time since the Antipodes mask eliminates the need for the hydration step. Therefore it's perfect for use when I want to indulge in a pampering session but still have time to tackle the rest of world too!

You can purchase the Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey mask and the rest of their products can be purchased at Feel Unique, which is a great site for buyers around the world since their free international feature applies to all products and all amounts.

I hope you found this helpful!
